Goose shoulders have become the sub for the Swan that we used until the era came
to a halt. too many people tying classics and not enough swan to supply the
fraternity has led to the cites act, which protects the swan and makes the tying
class go to the Goose. While we spend much time purchasing large
quantities of goose, we find that there are only about 150 useable feathers in
1000 of the shoulders we obtain. Thus the high price of this product. If we
could get the tying public to drop their sights on smaller flies then a
